Autumn Walk

We have been very busy thinking about autumn. We went on a walk using our senses to identify different changes. We learnt lots of different ways that we use our senses and came up with some very good descriptions.

Some of us even did some writing about it. If you are ever in the 'lower corridor' take a look at our work on the 'science display board'.

Our Fantastic Scuplture

After our visit to St. Francis Church to celebrate Harvest, we decided to create our own sculpture. We had great fun talking about the textures of the paper before we put into the gluey water and how this changed after and some of us even enjoyed getting a little bit messy!

Take a look at some of the photos we took and after we've painted our sculpture we'll add the photos (although it is going to take about 2 weeks to dry!)

Gardening area - digging up the carrots!

Last year the Nursery children planted carrot seeds. The children were responsibile for looking after them and they have now grown in to carrots. Last week the children learned about harvest and the school visited the church to celebrate harvest festival. This week some of the foundation stage children decided that it was time to harvest the carrots and a group of them dug them up. This is what happened.
